Designed by antiques collector and interior designer, Amr Khalil, La Maison Bleue is a luxuriant mansion located in the resort town of El Gouna on Egypt’s Red Sea coast.
Burrowing architectural influences from Italy, Turkey, Syria and North Africa with antique European furniture and ornaments from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries throughout, the decadent guest house offers a serene and timeless escape.

La Maison Bleue’s opulent design features a fabulous Venetian-style facade, marble floors inspired by Saint Marks’ Basilica, reproductions of Minoan murals from Santorini, and a mosaic colonnade inspired by Barcelona’s Palace of Catalan Music.
An elegant design
The elegant design continues to enchant with a bounty of Art Deco furniture by French designer, Leleu, a wonderfully curated selection of Italian empire furniture, and an art nouveau fireplace in the salon. Transporting guests even further are the romantic and intricate balconies and sheltered alcoves with views of a turquoise lagoon and shimmering Red Sea. Drawings developed by architect Olivier Sednaoui bring the walls to life, and gardens masterfully created by the French landscaper, Louis Benech, give La Maison Bleue guests an otherworldly feeling of having traveled to another place and time.
